Oral Surgery & Implant Studio Leads The Way With National Design

The 2016 Office Design and Construction for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is an expansive practice management resource created by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).

This publication is the main resource that oral surgeons throughout the country utilize as a guideline to emulate the very best offices in the nation. This new edition was prepared with the intention of assisting oral surgeons with the design, building and/or retrofitting of their practice space, with an emphasis on green building principles and the creation of green practices. A photo of ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio has the honors to grace the cover of this publication. Additionally, this invaluable resource includes an in-depth case study about LEED Gold Certification and the green building and sustainable features of this downtown Chicago oral surgery practice.

ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio has long placed an importance on green and sustainable features in the creation and operation of the practice. In addition to achieving adhering to USGBC LEED standards, the practice has received EDA Gold Certification by the Eco-Dentistry Association, has been recognized by the Council for Greening the Operating Room Initiative and is a multi-award recipient of Practice Greenhealth’s Partner for Change. ORA’s owner, Steven Koos, D.D.S., M.D., is also a Certified Sustainability Practitioner (CSR-P) by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
